How do I Modify the Elite Series Wicked Laser?

The Elite Series Wicked S3 Arctic laser provides a more powerful beam of light than most other commercially available laser pointers, thanks to the use of a blue laser diode. You can modify the way the light is emitted from the laser through the addition of an included lens plate. The lens plate is designed to be installed in front of the laser. The procedure requires a partial disassembly of the laser and the use of the tools that come with it.

Instructions

    • 1

Unscrew the battery cap from the end of the Elite Series Wicked S3 Arctic laser. Remove the cap and upend the laser to eject the batteries into your hand. Place the batteries and the battery cap aside.

    • 2

Unscrew the lens module from the front end of the laser. Place the module on a table face down. Rotate the laser clockwise until the two interlocking screws are facing you. Loosen both screws with a Torx screwdriver.

    • 3

Rotate the laser so that the safety interlock tab, opposite the screws, is now facing you. Rotate the safety interlock screw's wheel-head counterclockwise to remove it from inside the tab. Place the interlock screw aside.

    • 4

Pull the top of the module out from the bottom. Insert the lens plate of your choice from those that come with the laser in the module. Place the top back on the module. Screw in the interlock screw. Tighten the two screws.

    • 5

Screw the module back onto the front of the laser. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment, and screw the battery cap back on.
