Instructions for Green Science: Dynamo Torch

4M's Green Science: Dynamo Torch is a gear-powered flashlight kit designed to be assembled at home. The Dynamo Torch includes a small set of housed gears, a motor, a generator and an LED bulb. When the handle is cranked, the motor/generator produces a current of electricity just strong enough to illuminate the light bulb. Because of the small parts and fine motor skills required to put the Dynamo Torch together, it is best suited for children ages 8 and up.

Push the rotating arm onto the metal knob protruding from the side of the housing until it clicks into place. Screw the plastic dome into place over top of the LED light to complete assembly. Crank the rotating arm to generate an electrical current and activate the LED light.
