Things You'll Need
Instructions
Fill a container with about four gallons of hot water. Hotter water creates more fog. Fill the container almost to the top to get the best fog flow. This means the water will splash when the ice is added, so put the container somewhere that will not be harmed if it gets wet.
Add about five pounds of dry ice to the water. Each five pounds will last about 15 minutes. Ice that is flat will last longer than thicker chunks. More surface area makes more fog.
Use a fan to direct the fog. Without a fan the fog will flow in the direction the air is moving.
Change the water each time you add new ice. The water will cool down and be less effective. If you do not want to change the water, keep the container on a hot plate to keep the water warm. If you use a heater only, use a container that can be heated.
