Scientists measure quantities of very small objects, such as molecules, in moles. For example, one mole of NaCl (table salt), which is 6.022 x 10^23 molecules of NaCl, weighs approximately 58.4 grams (2.06 ounces). Molarity is a unit of solution concentration based on the mole. A one molar (1 M) solution contains one mole of solute, or dissolved substance, in each liter (1.05 quarts) of solvent. You can quickly convert the molar concentration of any solution to its millimolar (mM) equivalent.
Instructions

1
Write the molar value you want to analyze. For example, 0.013 M.
-
2
Multiply the value by 1,000 using a calculator. For example, 0.013 x 1000 = 13.

3
Write the answer using the correct units. For example, 13 mM.
