How to Paint Intuitively

Painting intuitively is about allowing all of the creative aspects in the moment to happen naturally. When the word intuition is understood in it's meaning (in- meaning inner, and tuition- meaning payoff) an artist is naturally flowing with their spirit. This flow stretches an artist out beyond limits, and into limitless creation. Accomplishing this style of painting is an art, since it requires the artist to be fearless in how he is feeling and express this through the canvas. If the artist can accomplish this task, then the creativity within will shine.

  Pick up the paint brush and put it to canvas. Allow your hand to just flow in the direction it wants to go. Allowing the hands to move freely, with the eyes following the movement eases the instinctive, freestyle creativity to come forward.

  See the limitless potential of each stroke locking into place a solid picture of your creativity. There are individuals who claim to "see" shapes, colors or a completed piece of art before getting started. When they "see" the inner flow, they bring it to life on the canvas.

  Feel the expression of the creative flow and how it manifests onto canvas. The feeling lasts as long as it is not challenged. When a creative flow is challenged, remember what it felt like to be in the inner truth of your payoff.
