Things You'll Need
Instructions
First you need to get a good digital recorder. It doesn't have to be real expensive, just make sure it isn't "cheap". A good one will cost around $30.
Next you will need an audio editing program. Any program will do fine. Remember, your not doing a soundtrack to a movie you are just making a simple voice recording. If your computer doesn't have an editing program already you can download one for free at http://audacity.sourceforge.net .
Prepare your house by turning down the lights and turning off any distractions. Locate yourself in a nice, dark spot in your house or a spot that you know has ghost activity.
Ask your questions in a loud, clear voice. Make sure you record plenty of space in between the questions to give the spirits time to respond. Ask questions like:
Use common sense. If you are in a house that has a ghost who used to speak Spanish then ask the questions in Spanish. I've seen so many ghost hunting programs where they were in a foreign country and the hunter was asking questions in English.
Download the audio onto your computer. Use the editing software to cut each segment into separate question followed by the answer space.
Listen carefully to each new segment. This can take a while. Enhance the answer space by increasing the volume. Try listening to this space either faster or slower. The change in pitch can sometimes lead you to something you wouldn't normally notice.
If you are lucky (or unlucky as the case may be) you will find some clear answers to your questions hidden in the "empty" space. Good luck and happy hunting!
1. Are there anyone here in the room with me?
2. Why are you still in the house?
3. Are you upset by my presence?
