The ancient runes are still in use for divination today. Although these runes were lost in time, the Elder Futhark, a collection of old Germanic runes, they were translated within the last couple of centuries and brought back to public knowledge. While most people divine with the use of runes carved on flat or slightly rounded stones, rune dice can provide a new variation on the theme, and are easy to read.

Buy 24 blank dice. These can be found at some game stores, or online.

Find a nice copy of the runes that you wish to use, and practice drawing them until you can do so steadily and evenly.

Draw one rune on each die on any of the six faces. Place them face up to dry.

When the dice are dry, store them in a pouch or dice cup.
