Things You'll Need
Instructions
Separate the Tarot's major arcana cards from the rest of the pack. Wake up a half hour earlier each morning. In a quiet room, choose one card from the pack and meditate on its imagery.
Write in your notebook keywords, insights and associations you gain from your meditations. While knowing the book interpretation of each card is important, trust your intuition to lead you to new meanings that provide insight into the card's wisdom.
Carry the chosen card with you. Study it throughout the day and see what details pop out. Think about things that happened to you or that others have said that day. Write down any new insights that occur to you in your Tarot notebook.
Spend a half hour before bed with your Tarot notebook. Study the card again and what you've written throughout the day. Find a way to tell a story based on your studies and insights that highlight the card's wisdom.
Combine numerology and Tarot for friends and family. Give a one-card reading as a birthday gift by adding the person's day, month and year of birth and then adding those digits until they amount to less than the number 21. The result is their birthday card and an important message to carry with them the rest of their lives.
Give free Tarot readings to strangers once you're comfortable with the meanings. Use only the major arcana portion and limit the layout to four or five cards. Tell them up front that you're in training and consult your notebook whenever necessary.
