List of Toy Bakugan Combos

Bakugan is an action-figure dueling game. Each figure comes in a marble form that is shot onto a Gate Card. When the marble rolls over the Gate Card, it springs open, revealing a monster inside. You have Gate Cards, Bakugan, Bakugan Traps and Ability Cards to combine to win your Bakugan battles.
  1. Bakugan Trap Combos

    • Bakugan Traps are played after you've rolled your Bakugan and it has sprung open on the Gate Card. Combining the Ingram Bakugan with the Hylash Bakugan trap gives Ingram 350 more G Force points. Whichever player has more G Force wins the round. Combining Mega Brontes with the Dynamo Bakugan trap adds even more G Force to Mega Brontes: 400 points. Cross Draganoid combined with Spyderfercer beats them all with a 500 G Force bonus.

    Ability Card Combos

    • Ability Cards are held in your hand and can be deployed to devastating and surprising effect in a round. For example, if you play the Doom Ability Card after you've rolled a Darkus-type Bakugan, you get a G Force bonus. A tricky combo is to play very high-powered Bakugan in an early round, then take the Bakugan out of your discard pile by playing Runo's Throw, which lets you roll a Bakugan you've already used. You can double-combo Runo's Throw with Dan's Throw, an Ability Card that lets you take another Ability Card you've already used and replay it --- so you could potentially play the same powerful Bakugan three times in a row.

    Gate Card Combos

    • Gate Cards give bonuses and enact special effects when they're turned over, which happens after both players have rolled their Bakugan. Use the Fire Pit Gate Card when you're rolling a Pyrus-type Bakugan, since Fire Pit gives G Force bonuses only to them. Other Gate Cards offer more specific bonuses: Use the TerrorClaw Gate Card when you're playing the TerrorClaw Bakugan because this Gate Card gives up to 150 G Force points to it alone.

    Illegal Combos

    • There are combos in Bakugan that are popular to play but not legal to use in tournaments. These combos involve physically combining Bakugan. For example, Maxus Helios, a terrifying beast in the Bakugan anime, is combined from seven Bakugan: Helios, Scraper, Klawgor, Foxbat, Fencer, Leefram and Spindle. Each of these Bakugan has small tabs and slots that let them be connected. Although you wouldn't play this in a tournament, it does look cool to see all these Bakugan form one giant one.
