Things You'll Need
Instructions
Measure the side of your wrestling ring from corner to corner. Add a 1/2 inch to this total. This will make the dimensions for the steel-cage walls.
Cut out a square wire mesh shape of your measurement. For example, if the measurement is 15.5 inches long, cut out four wire mesh sides that measure 15.5 inches by 15.5 inches. Lay the wire over each other so it looks even.
Use a utility knife to cut the sharp edges off of 16 wooden drawing sticks. Spray-paint all of the wooden sticks silver and let them dry.
Spray-paint a package of zip ties silver. This will help them blend in with the steel cage and make the steel cage look more authentic.
Attach the wooden sticks to the edges of each wire mesh using the cable ties. Cut off any extra wood that hangs off the edge of the mesh. Use scissors to trim off the extra slack on a cable tie.
Cut 10 wooden craft sticks in half horizontally. Use a utility knife to cut the curved edges off of the ends so both ends are flat and even. Spray them all with silver spray paint.
Set the craft sticks up on the corners of each wire mesh. Kitty-corner the sticks so that each side touches a side and a triangle shape is made in the center. Repeat this for every corner of each side, giving you 16 different corners. Secure the sticks with cable ties and trim off the extra cable tie that hangs.
Connect all the cage sides together using cable ties. Stand the first side up, and use four cable connections per side. If it's too flimsy, add two more cable ties to secure it better.
Place the steel cage over the top of the wrestling ring. Use a cable tie to secure the cage to one of the ring posts. Once you want to remove the cage, simply cut off the cable tie and pull the cage straight up.
