Action Figures
A UFC fan enjoys a replica of his favorite players. You can buy a representation of the child's favorite fighter, in a larger, deluxe model or in small, micro figures. The figures are available, ready to spar, in a 2-pack. Not only can you get action figures, you can also buy an octagon for them to fight in. You can even get an electronic octagon that has motion sensors, real UFC announcer voices and realistic fight noises.
Tickets
For an older kid, nothing beats the stale popcorn, overpriced sodas and zealous heckling at a real UFC event. There are a few UFC fights each year in different areas of the country, so get a couple of tickets and take him to see a fight. However, this can get expensive by the time you buy the tickets and pay for other travel expenses. So, as a less expensive alternative, consider taking the child to a local mixed martial arts event. Let him know this is the training ground the next UFC greats.
Martial Arts Lessons
Your little UFC fanatic will want to do as his idols do, so sign him up for lessons in tae kwon do, karate, jujitsu, kick-boxing or another martial arts class at a gym. There are even mixed martial arts training centers. The classes provide a physical challenge and training. Martial arts teaches kids about harnessing energy and rules of fighting. He can learn more about the different fighting styles and possibly become a fighter himself when older. A martial arts training DVD for kids is another gift idea that you can do with him and learn more about the moves of UFC fights.
Video Games
Kids get lost in the fantasy of a video game for hours, or even days, on end. And UFC has several available games: "TapouT," "Sudden Impact" and "Undisputed." "TapouT" and "Sudden Impact" both received less than stellar reviews upon release. "Undisputed," on the other hand, has been more favorably received. If you'd like to see the child use more than his thumbs, "UFC Personal Trainer" is a motion-controlled game that will have him sweating in no time.
