How to Launch a Toy Parachute

Toy parachutes bring a lot of lot of enjoyment to children. The parachute also generates exercise, since the children have to physically launch the parachute into the air and then chase after it when it hits the ground. Once the parachute is folded properly, there are several ways to launch it, depending on how high you want it to travel and how windy it is.

      Throw the parachute into the air. Pay attention to where the wind is blowing and try to throw it so the wind catches it and carries it far away.

      Stand on a chair or climb a tree to get more height on your throw. If you plan to climb a tree, you may wish to have someone else with you to catch it and hand it back to you.

      Use a tennis racket or other implement to launch it further into the sky. This will create more of a spectacle as it glides gently to the ground.
