Look at the body of the character. If it is a human body proceed to Step 2. If the body is not human, examine it further to see what type it is. A number of non-human characters exist in "He-Man," such as the Battle Cat/Cringer figure, Skeletor's panther, Astrolion and a number of dinosaur characters. The human "He-Man" figures all have body-builder-like physiques, including the villains.
Check the face of the character. He-Man has shoulder-length blond hair and Caucasian skin. His arch-enemy, Skeletor, covers his yellow skeleton head with a purple hood. Other "He-Man" characters and villains such as Webstor have their own distinctive features but all have the common muscled body. Exceptions to this are the female Sorceress, the non-human Orko, and the smaller Gwildor and Grizzlor.
Examine the weapons that the character carries. He-Man carries a gray sword and shield and wears gray armor. Skeletor carries a purple sword and wears purple armor. Other characters have their own accessories; for example, Webstor carries a whip and Battle-Cat has red armor.
Research characters further on the Internet. Collector sites and pop culture historians offer all the information you could possibly want on this series.
