Instructions
Look specifically for the figures you know are missing, if you can remember what they are. It is easier to find something when you know exactly what you are looking for - you will recognize it immediately, instead of it slipping by your vision. Some common army men poses are holding a bazooka, using a radio phone, kneeling with a rifle, throwing a grenade and sweeping for mines.
Look under cushions, in, under and behind the sofa. Look between the bed and the wall and under blankets if your child was playing with army men in bed.
Look in your pockets or in your children's pockets.
Look in toy bins. A few might be in a separate container from the rest of the army men. Look particularly in containers with vehicles, blocks and other toys your child might have used with the army men.
Look inside other toys. If any of your child's toys has compartments that open, army men might be hiding inside. Check vehicles and toy structures like army bases, castles and dollhouses.
Rake your fingers gently through the dirt feeling for missing army men if your child was playing with army men in the dirt.
Wait for them to turn up. Often lost things turn up when you don't expect it.
