Determine the value of your Marvel comics action figures by comparing them to the Marvel comics action figures listed in the identification and price guide books (see Resources). Make notes about any differences in the condition of your Marvel action figures and those listed in the reference guides.
Photograph the Marvel comics action figures with a digital camera. Photograph the front and back of the action figures. Take clear, sharp pictures. Take pictures of any intricate details or damage to the action figures.
Upload your digital pictures to one or more auction websites. Most auction websites offer picture hosting for sellers. Examples of sites where you can upload and sell your action figures are Heritage Auction Galleries, Comic Link and Hakes Americana &Collectibles (see Resources). Search on the auction site for similar Marvel comics action figures and notice the prices that they are selling for.
Write a description of the first Marvel comics action figure that you intend to sell online. Be as accurate with the description as possible. Note any damage to the action figure or special features. Repeat this step for each Marvel comics action figure you are trying to sell.
Set a starting price for the Marvel comics action figure. Launch or start the auction. Repeat for each individual action figure that you are selling, unless you are selling many in a group.
