Instructions
Glow Sticks
Place an empty toilet paper cardboard roll over the end of a long, clear tube.
Wrap duct tape around the roll and up slightly onto the tube to seal in place. Place duct tape over the bottom of the roll as well to form the handle of the lightsaber.
Tape long strands of glow sticks, unhooked necklaces or glow ropes inside the clear tubing, making sure to crack the glow sticks first to cause them to illuminate.
Cover the top of the lightsaber with a piece of tinfoil, clear plastic wrap or clear plastic tape.
Turn off the lights and play with the illuminated lightsaber.
Flashlight
Position a clear plastic tube on top of a flashlight and wrap clear tape around both to keep the tube in place.
Cover the open top of the tube with a piece of clear plastic, plastic tape or tinfoil.
Measure the circumference and length of the plastic tubing. Measure and cut a piece of transparent plastic cellophane in a bright color to match the measurements.
Wrap the cellophane around the tube and adhere it with clear plastic tape.
Turn on the flashlight to light up the lightsaber.
Paint
Slide a cardboard toilet paper roll around the end of a clear plastic tube and fix it in place with plastic tape.
Wind duct tape around the toilet paper roll and the plastic tube to resemble a metal lightsaber handle.
Tape a piece of clear plastic over the top of the tube.
Paint the entire tube with one color of glow-in-the-dark paint, which can be found at most craft stores.
Allow to dry and turn off the lights to watch the lightsaber glow.
