How to Remove the Batteries From the Masterpiece Optimus

The Masterpiece Optimus is a robot action figure that is part of the Transformers universe of characters. The battery-powered collectible toy is manufactured in Japan by Takara and in the United States by Hasbro. The battery compartment on each type is somewhat obscured by the construction of the toy, which is designed to transform from a robot figure to an 18-wheel trailer truck and back again. For safety's sake, the compartment is also sealed by a small Phillips-head screw.

     Bend the two legs on the robot backward to bring the chest forward.

     Open the two hinged panels on the robot's back.

   • 3

     Remove the small screw that secures the battery compartment, using a Phillips-head screwdriver.

   • 4

     Pull the two AA batteries out of the compartment.
