Using Robosapien V2
To get Robosapien V2 to do anything, the first step is to insert the batteries--Six D batteries and 4 AAA batteries. To do so, first be sure that the robot's power switch is in the OFF position. Then, using a crosshead screwdriver, unscrew the battery doors. These are located on the bottom of the robot's feet. Insert the batteries as shown in an imprint on the feet. Additionally, you will need 3 AAA batteries to operate the remote control for your robot. Once the batteries are in place, screw the battery doors back on.
There are numerous controller button combinations that can be used to make Robosapien V2 perform actions. Familiarize yourself with controller buttons. The buttons a, b, c, x, y, and z are all function buttons. Additionally, there is a square button that us used to stop a function from occurring, as well as a D button that shows you a demo of his abilities when pushed. The left and right stick buttons move and position the robot accordingly. On the front of the controller are three shift buttons, two on the left and one on the right, also used for making the robot perform functions.
Functions Possible
The left stick is used to make the robot walk. To change the robot's gait, hit the y button. There are four different manners of walking to choose from. If you hold down shift 1 and shift three along with the stop button, Robosapien V2 will move forward without stopping if something is in his way. Shift two, shift three, and stop will make the robot move backwards without stopping. The right stick controls the robot's head and upper body movement. Shift 1 plus the right stick will cause the robot's hips and waist to move. Shift 1, Shift 3, and the right stick will make the robot move only his head. Holding all three shifts and moving the right stick will make the robot move only his upper body. To allow the robot to roam and explore without your intervention, press the z button. The b button controls Robosapien V2's vision sensors, and can adjust whether it sees long range or short range.
