How to Make a Title Belt

If your child has some action figures, chances are that he has grown tired of the older ones. Many children are interested in combat sports such as boxing or wrestling, and they are quite familiar with the title belts that are awarded to participants. You can quickly and easily rejuvenate boring old action figures by simply making title belts for them, creating renewed interest in some old toys.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the toy action figure's waist. Cut two pieces of tape long enough to loosely encircle the toy's waist.

    • 2

Lay one piece of the tape out flat so that the glue side faces up. Stick a dime to the middle of the strip of tape.

    • 3

Stick the second strip of tape with the glue side down to the first strip, covering it as evenly as possible.

    • 4

Trim the tape closely around the top and bottom sides of the dime, making it look like a large buckle. Trim a little off the tape strips on either side of the buckle to narrow them a little, making the buckle even more prominent.

    • 5

Have your child decorate the belt with markers, crayons, glitter glue or other embellishments.

    • 6

Wrap the decorated title belt around the toy action figure's waist. Secure the two belt sections to the back of the toy with a small piece of tape.
