How to Create an Action Figure Title Belt

Toy action figures are exciting when they are new, but after a while kids get bored with old toys. Action figure crafts can help bring new life and fun to old toys, or modify second-hand toys to more uniquely fit a child's interest. If your child is interesting in wrestling, for example, but has action figures that are superheroes, you can make them wrestlers by simply crafting a title belt.

Things You'll Need

  • Coin (penny or dime)

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the diameter of the action figure's waist at its smallest point, where you want the belt to go. You'll need to make the belt slightly larger than the action figure's waist.

    • 2

Measure two pieces of tape long enough to reach around the action figure's waist. Place the penny on the middle of one piece on the sticky side, and place the second piece on top of the first so that the sticky sides are together.

    • 3

Trim around the penny to give the belt some shape and make it look more like a wrestling title belt.

    • 4

Wrap the belt around the action figure's waist and use a small piece of tape to join the two ends of the belt behind the action figure's back. Use markers and other craft items to decorate.

    • 5

Modify the belt to make it into a utility belt rather than a wrestling belt. If the action figure has weapons or other accessories, you can use this craft to make holsters for the action figure's accessories using tape, pipe cleaner or other crafts materials.
