How to Tow In-Line Skates With a Small Motor

You can use in-line skates for different purposes such as having a friend tow you. The basic premise behind this activity is that a small motorized vehicle (an ATV or go-kart, for example) pulls a person behind the vehicle on skates. The person on skates should always wear a helmet and other protective gear. Check with local ordinances to find out whether this action is legal; many communities deem it illegal or dangerous.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Have the skater put on protective gear. At the very least, she should have a helmet and knee pads. Other protective items include elbow pads and wrist guards.

    • 2

Tie a water skiing line to a portion of a motorized vehicle such as bars on the engine. An area near the front would also work.

    • 3

Wrap the line around a portion of the vehicle several times. You must tighten the slack quite a bit to make it safe for the person you're towing.

    • 4

Move the vehicle to a flat surface.

    • 5

Run the line back to the person who will be towed. Tell him to hold on tight.
