Instructions

    • 1

Pour 1/2 cup of dish washing detergent liquid into a medium bowl. Dawn and Joy are the brands that are recommended most for making your own bubble solution.

    • 2

Add 2 cups of water and stir with a spoon. For larger quantities of solution, increase water to 4 cups. Any water from wells, including water with high iron levels and hard water, won't work as well as soft water will. If you don't have a tap with an attached water softener, purchase a gallon of drinking or purified water.

    • 3

Add 2 teaspoons of sugar and mix well, making sure the sugar dissolves. Substitute 2 or 3 tablespoons of light corn syrup or glycerine for sugar. Glycerine can be found in most drug stores but can be costly. Store the solution in a small jar with a tight lid to prevent mess and leakage.
