Things You'll Need
Instructions
Make a notch with the knife in each end of the long stick to hold the bowstring.
Tie a loop in one end of your intended bowstring. Feed the free end through the loop and tighten it to the notch on one end of the stick.
Pull the loose end of the string towards the other end of the stick. Tighten the string until you bend the stick. Wrap the string around the notch in the end. Wrap the loose end over and around the string until it is held in place on the end of the bow.
Tie a knot to secure the string using a few half hitch knots. Feed the string around the end of the stick. Bring it back over itself and feed the sting through the created loop. Pull the string tight to secure the half hitch knot.
Nock your stick arrow to the bowstring and practice shooting in the backyard. Do not aim the arrow at people.
