Kidkraft Deluxe Activity Sandbox Instructions

The KidKraft Deluxe Activity Sandbox is a kid-friendly sandbox that has a canopy to shade children from the sun while it is being used. When purchased, the sandbox is unassembled. Assembly of the sandbox requires two people, but it can be finished in one afternoon. An Allen wrench is included with the sandbox, but you need a Phillips and flat head screwdriver as well.

Instructions

    • 1

      Lay board "1" on the ground so the unstained side faces up. Align one set of holes in post "3A" with the two holes on the flat end of the board; face the remaining set of holes toward the flat end of the board. Attach the post using two bolts and two washers. Align the holes in the post with the second set of holes on the curved end of the board; face the remaining set of holes toward the curved end of the board. Attach the post using two bolts and two washers. Do the same thing using board "2" and the remaining "3A" and "3B" posts.

      Hold boards "1" and "2" upright, so the posts face upward. Align the holes in board "5" with the holes in the posts at the flat end of the boards "1" and "2." Attach board "5" using four bolts and four washers. Position board "6" on the inside of board "5." Align the holes on board "6" with the holes in the middle of board "5." Attach the board using two bolts and two washers. Position board "4" so the middle holes align with the holes on the exposed end of board "5." Attach board "4" using two bolts and two washers. Insert a bolt and washer into each of the holes on the side of the sandbox frame to attach board "4" to the frame. Insert a cross dowel nut into the remaining holes on board "4" so the hole faces upward. Insert boards "7" and "8" into the openings between the boards.

      Position board "9" so the holes align with the holes on the two posts at the curved end of the frame. Attach board "9" using four bolts and four washers. Position board "10" on the outside of board "9." Align the holes and attach board "10" using two bolts and two washers.

      Position each board "11" so the holes align with the unused holes on the sides of the frame. Attach each board using two bolts and two washers. Insert a cross dowel nut into each hole on the side of each board "11" so the holes face upward.

      Position board "12" at the rounded part of the frame so the lip faces down and away from the frame. Attach the board with six bolts and six washers. Insert buckets "87" and "88" into the openings in board "12." Position a board "B" on each side of the frame, on top of each board "11." Attach each board "B" using six bolts and six washers.

      Rest boards "14" and "15" at the flat end of the frame, on top of boards "4" and "6."

      Insert inner liner "16" into the middle of the frame so the flaps face upward. Align the holes in the sides of the liner with the holes in the frame. Attach the liner using nuts, washers and support beams "17."

      Position handles "19" over the slots in board "20" and align the holes. Attach the handles using bolts. Position the assembled board on top of the two boards "21" so the holes in the boards are aligned with the holes in the handles. Attach the boards to the handles using bolts.

      Rest the assembled structure on top of the four posts. Align the holes. Lay canopy "22" on top and attach it to the posts using the canopy bolts "33."
