Easy to Make Water Balloon Throwing Machine

Summer brings with it a number of fun ways to cool down including ice cream, swimming and water balloon fights. This summer, ensure that you have a tactical advantage over your adversaries by constructing a water balloon throwing machine. Using a few household supplies, you can construct a balloon throwing machine that will make your team the champion of backyard water balloon fights. Making the balloon throwing machine requires some help from an adult.

Things You'll Need

Drill with drill bit bigger than the surgical tubing
20 feet surgical tubing
Plastic funnel
Knife or scissors
Water balloons
Water

Instructions

  Drill four holes (two on each side) into the top rim of the plastic funnel. The holes must be 2 inches apart and opposite each other.

  Use the knife or scissors to cut the tubing into two 10-foot sections.

  Thread the tubes through the first hole from the outside in and then through the second hole from the inside out. Repeat for the other side.

  Get two friends to hold each of the rubber tubes. Stand in the middle and hold the funnel. Walk back until you have stretched the surgical tubes as far as possible.

  Load the funnel with a water-filled balloon, aim and fire. Reload and repeat.
