How to Sterilize a Playground

Bacteria can survive outside the body for about three days, while viruses survive for almost a month. Germs live on many surfaces, including the playground equipment your children touch every day. Playground equipment should be cleaned at least twice a year --- in the spring and late summer. Any part of the equipment your children touch should be cleaned, including the swing ropes, stair handrails and slide edges.
