Instructions

    • 1

Brush the paint you wish to use on a scrap piece of paper the same material as your kite. Let the painted paper dry in the sun to ensure that it does not pucker or alter after being painted.

    • 2

Draw the shape of your kite sail on a blank piece of paper with pencil. Sketch the rough outline of the design you want on the kite. Make several sketches until you are satisfied with the design you want.

    • 3

Replicate the sketch of your design on the sail of your kite with a pencil.

    • 4

Paint the sail of your kite. Apply only a thin coat of paint of each color and allow the paint ample time to dry. If you want the colors to be solid and bold, paint on several coats, letting the paint dry between each layer.

Add glue to the dried paint where you want to add glitter. Sprinkle glitter over the glue and let dry.
