Things You'll Need
Instructions
Clean the teeter board, especially if it's been outside. Rinse it off and rub the surface of any metal or plastic for painting gently with steel wool. This will scuff the surface enough to help the paint stick. This is not necessary for wood.
Apply a primer appropriate for the material. Plastic, metal and wood will all have different primers, but they all serve to protect the material and help the paint adhere to the teeter board.
Wait for the primer to dry, then apply the first coat of acrylic paint. Use bright colors and for a unique look paint different portions of the teeter board different colors. For example, use a bright red or orange for the base and board, and a bright yellow for the seats and details. Apply two full coats of paint.
Add a glossy topcoat if desired for an optional shiny finish.
