How to Convert 6 Volt Power Wheels to 12 Volt

Power wheels are small motorized toy vehicles that are large enough for toddlers and small boys to drive. These toys usually use a 6-volt battery for power; however, the motor used in most of these toys is actually a 12 volt motor. It is possible to connect a second 6-volt battery in series with the original battery to elevate the the circuit to a 12-volt circuit. This increases the speed and power of the power wheel, but it also increases the stress and wear on the motor.
