How to Build Cool Air Soft Forts

The key to a cool Airsoft fort is the presence of areas where you can shoot at your opponents without being shot by them. This is, after all, the key to an effective Airsoft fort --- a strong defense without costing you any offense.

There are wide varieties of ways to do this, and they are dependent on your terrain, weather and materials. If you live in a colder northern climate, a snow fort could be a good option. On the other hand, if you live in a flat, more arid climate it may be wise to use different materials like sandbags and wood.

  Sketch your fort before you start building. Establish how you are going to shoot without being shot --- will you use a trench or will you use other methods like mobile pieces of wood? It is important to know this beforehand so you can approach it with a plan.

  Purchase your materials if you need to do so. This may not be necessary, particularly if you are planning to build your fort from materials you already have.

  Build a wall of some kind. This is what you will hide behind, so it is important that this is sturdy and has no cracks. You can use snow if it is the winter, or sandbags in any season. You could also use dirt or just nail pieces of wood together.
  
  To build your wall from snow or sandbags, simply stack them with a strong base. This means the bottom will be wider than the top. To build a wall out of wood, nail large pieces of wood together, using smaller pieces as connecting supports.

  Drill holes in the wall to shoot from if you want to increase your firepower. If you do this, ensure that everyone on your team knows where they are so you don't put your team at risk from bullets coming in through the holes.
  
  The holes only need to be large enough for your gun barrel to poke out of. You can drill them in sets of two if you want something to look out of, or just drill one if you want to fire indiscriminately.

  Build covers for the holes. By doing this, you can move the cover, shoot, then replace it. This makes it possible to shoot at the other team before they can react and shoot you.
