Things You'll Need
Instructions
Cut a piece of 1/2-inch PVC pipe with a hacksaw so you have three 3-inch pieces, one 2-inch piece and one 4-inch piece.
Dry fit the pieces together in the following sequence. Put the 2-inch piece of pipe into one side of a 1/2-inch PVC elbow. Put a 3-inch piece into the other opening of the elbow.
Put another elbow on the other end of the 3-inch piece and turn it so it is facing in the opposite direction. Put another 3-inch pipe into the open end of the second elbow.
Put a 1/2-inch "T" connection on the end of the 3-inch pipe with the center opening facing down. Put the third 3-inch pipe into that opening and put a 1/2-inch cap on the end of it.
Put the 4-inch pipe into the last opening of the "T" and put the 1/2-inch union on the end. Only put the union on to its center point. Lie the entire unit on a flat surface so everything lines up to form the gun.
Start with the first piece you put together, which was the 2-inch pipe and elbow. Take that joint apart and sand the end to remove any burrs and to roughen up the surface slightly. Clean off any sanding dust with a rag.
Apply PVC primer to the outside of the pipe where it will go into the elbow using the applicator that comes in the primer can. Put the primer on the inside of the elbow, also. Coat the same two areas with the PVC glue with the provided applicator and immediately put the pipe firmly into the elbow. Give the joint a small twist to ensure a tight bond.
Repeat the cleaning, priming and gluing process for each joint in the order you initially put them together. The glue sets up very quickly, so work on the flat surface as you go to keep everything in line. Allow 15 minutes to completely dry.
Test the gun by putting a miniature marshmallow into the union end of the gun, and blow quickly into the 2-inch pipe.
