Things You'll Need
Instructions
Completely unload the gun of all pellets. If the spring coil is in the compressed mode for shooting, decompress it. Remove magazines or shooting clips if there are any in the gun.
Find the screws that hold the top portion of the gun together. These are usually around the top of the barrel of the gun. In some cheaper models of guns, you may not find the screws at all. In such cases, you will have to lift the flaps that you see and remove them from the gun to expose the interiors. Remove the screws with the screwdriver and place them in a small bowl. Depending on the model, you may find one or more screws.
Look for the spring that runs along the length of the gun. Locate the end and carefully pull it out. Hold the ends of the spring with your hands and gently pull the coils apart, just enough to create a small space between them.
Use a very small amount of silicone spray to lubricate the spring. Reassemble the gun after you have lubricated the spring mechanism and both halves.
