Bend the glow stick to begin the chemical reaction. You'll hear a cracking sound, and the stick will begin to glow. When cracking many sticks at once, grab a stack of sticks with both hands, and twist in opposite directions. Repeat in the other direction, ensuring all the sticks are cracked fully.
Hold a single glow stick between your hands.
Rub your hands together quickly, holding the glow stick between them, for at least 30 seconds. The glow stick should now glow brighter than normal.
