How to Fix Damaged Bounce Houses

In order for a bounce house to work, it requires continuous air to flow through it at all times. It's normal for air to escape from the seams of a bounce house and minor tears may not affect the performance of the structure if the fan can provide air quicker than the leak.
However, in the event of a major gash or tear, a simple patch can be used to keep the leak from spreading.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

  1. Repairing a Bounce House

    • 1

Clean the area to be repaired with rubbing alcohol. Make sure tehre is no dirt or residue from a previous repair.

    • 2

Cut the repair patch leaving at least one inch of excess patch on all sides. Be sure to cut the patch in a circular shape as corners and straight edges tend to peel up. Curved edges stay secure, longer.

    • 3

Apply adhesive to the patch. If using a pre-glued patch, peel back the protective paper.

    • 4

Position the patch over the tear. Press firmly, working from the middle to the outer edges, making sure the patch fits flat against the bounce house material. Push all air bubbles out to the edges by applying pressure.
