How to Measure Trampoline Springs

If you've noticed a rusty or stretched out spring on your trampoline, you'll want to replace it to ensure the proper tension, safety and bounce. In order to properly fit the trampoline, it's necessary to get the exact size spring, which can be difficult to do if you don't know where to measure from.

      Remove two or three springs from the trampoline.

      Place the ruler next to the first spring. Use inches as your unit.

      Measure the total distance from the end of one hook to the end of the other. Record your measurement.

      Measure the other spring or two to ensure accuracy. If the first spring is stretched out, compare with others to get the right size. Trampoline springs usually come in
      4 3/8-inch to 10-inch sizes.
