Things You'll Need
Instructions
Make a hopscotch or four-corners grid by drawing with sidewalk chalk on your driveway. You can do as many hopscotch squares as you want. Just remember to vary between one square and two squares, and to number them.
Create natural art by gathering interesting rocks. Bring them inside, clean them, and when they are dry, paint them to look like other objects, such as ladybugs or fish. Use acrylic paint for the best results, and cover with a light coat of varnish when you are finished to set the art.
Make your own bird feeder with pinecones found outdoors. Cover them in a thin layer of peanut butter and roll in bird seed. Attach strings to them, hang in your tree and watch to see what kinds of birds you attract.
Encourage your children to garden by creating a fun garden outside. Section off a small plot to be used for the fun garden and head to the store to pick up some discount seeds. Have your kids grow and cultivate their fun garden all summer long; they'll be excited to see what grows.
Make a wind chime to hang by your door by using old, mismatched silverware. Punch holes in the ends and have your kids thread sturdy string through the holes. Tie to a horizontal butter knife, and hang outside your front door, where the wind can make it chime.
