How to Aim a Slingshot

Using a slingshot is a fun hobby for some and a way to get rid of dangerous rodents for others. To make it more fun and effective, you need to learn how to aim a slingshot in order to get the best aim.

Instructions

    • 1

Hold the slingshot so that your wrist and the slingshot are at a 90 degree angle. Don't allow the slingshot to slope forward or backward. It should be standing straight up and your wrist should be straight as well. If your wrist becomes tired while practicing with your slingshot, consider getting one that has a built-in wrist brace to make this easier on your wrist.

    • 2

Pull the slingshot's pouch back toward you to aim it. It should go back as far as possible in order to give the slingshot the farthest shooting range. With a good backwards pull, you may be able to get your slingshot to shoot about 75 feet.

    • 3

Move your fingers apart and let the pouch go instantaneously. Hesitating or letting go a finger at a time may cause the pouch to veer off to the side. You want to let go with your fingers all at the same time and as quickly as possible so that you give the pouch no resistance to its journey.
