Instructions
Build a small portable snowman on top of a piece of cardboard. Take your miniature snowman inside, when the sun is out, and put him in the freezer for a couple of hours. Bringing your snowman in and freezing him when it heats up outside helps to keep it around longer.
Choose the right spot to build your snowman if you are making one too big to take inside. If you build your snowman in an area that gets a lot of sun, melting happens much quicker. Choose a shady spot that is away from traffic and other hazards
Give your snowman some extra weight. The larger you make your snowman, the longer it takes for him to melt away. After you think you are all done building the body of your snowman, pack on an extra layer or two of snow.
Protect your snowman with a layer of ice. When you are completely finished with your snowman, put some water into a cup. Slowly pour the water over the entire surface of the snowman. Use your gloved hand to move the water around and evenly coat the snow. The water mixes with the top of the snow and freezes into ice. Ice melts slower than snow.
