Instructions
Preparing the Devices
Turn the Barbie Karaoke machine around so the back of the device is facing you.
Locate the "Audio In" socket on the back of the Barbie Karaoke machine.
Locate the "Audio Out" socket on the iPod or other MP3 device. If using an iPod, you will find the "Audio Out" socket on the top of the device.
If needed, remove any dust or particles from the socket on either device by blowing air into it. Do not insert objects into the socket, as you could cause damage.
Turn off both the Barbie Karaoke machine as well as the iPod or other MP3 device.
Connecting the Devices
Insert one end of the audio cable and into the "Audio In" socket on the Barbie Karaoke device. You should feel and/or hear a small click once the cable is in completely.
Insert the remaining end of the cable into the "Audio Out" socket on the iPod or other MP3 device. The cable should click into place.
Testing and Adjusting
Plug in and turn on the Barbie Karaoke machine.
Turn on the iPod or other MP3 device.
Test the cable connection by playing a song or other audio file on the iPod or other MP3 device. If the file is playing but no sound is emitting from the Barbie Karaoke, check the cable connection to be sure both ends are inserted properly.
Adjust the volume on both devices as desired.
