How to Get the Barbie Digital Nail Painter to Work

Install the Barbie Doll̵7;d Up software onto your computer. This software can be found on the CD-ROM that came with the printer. It can also be downloaded directly from Mattel.

Plug in the power cable for the Barbie printer.

Open the lid to the printer and insert the ink cartridge into the cartridge bay. Close the lid.

Connect the printer to your computer with the USB cable and click ̶0;Finish̶1; to finish the installation.

Launch the software. If this is the first time using this program, you will be brought to the camera alignment screen.

Insert your finger into the finger slot on the printer and align the camera over your fingernail.

Use the software to design your custom fingernail print.

Apply the white polish coat to your nail. If your nails already have a color polish on them, you do not need to apply any more.

Apply the pre-print coat to your nails.

Click on the ̶0;Camera̶1; icon in the software window.

Insert your finger into the finger slot on the printer, pushing it all the way until it triggers the mechanism that raises your finger up.

Press the left button on the printer after it starts to flash.

Press your finger down until the finger slot clicks back into place and remove your finger.

Select your fingernail design in the software window and apply it to the picture of your finger. Use the scaling tools to the left of the image to adjust the design to fit on your fingernail.

Insert your finger back into the finger slot on the printer as before and align your finger with the camera.

Press the flashing button on the printer to print the design onto your fingernail.
