How to Make Hair Nice on a Barbie Doll

Although Barbie dolls all have beautifully styled, silky and long hair when they come right out of the package, it probably is never too long until the hair becomes a snarled, matted and tangled mess. Instructions

    • 1

Remove mats and knots with a Barbie brush. Work from the bottom of the hair up to the roots. For severe knots, spray a light mist of an anti-tangle spray in her hair before brushing.

    • 2

Apply a dime-sized amount of conditioner into her hair. Comb the conditioner into her hair. Avoid rubbing/massaging the conditioner into the hair, as this can cause more mats and knots. Leave the conditioner in for three minutes.

    • 3

Rinse the conditioner out with cool water. Because the hair is made of a plastic, never wash it under hot water as it can start to melt.

    • 4

Wrap a small hand towel or a piece of paper towel around the hair. Squeeze gently to remove excess water.

    • 5

Apply a dime-sized amount of baby shampoo to the hair. Comb the shampoo through with a brush, then rinse the shampoo out with cool water.

    • 6

      Repeat Steps 2, 3 and 4.

    • 7

Spritz the hair with a leave-in conditioner to keep the hair shiny and tangle-free.
