Select the Right Beach Ball
Choose a sportier, thicker rubber beach ball if you'll be subjecting it to frequent or vigorous use. If you just want something to toss around in the pool or surf, opt for a cheaper, more colorful (but less durable) inflatable model.
Think beyond the traditional striped beach ball. Select one designed to look like the head of a cartoon character or monster or one that pays homage to a sports team or comic book hero. Other options include beach balls printed with images of flowers, tropical fish and palm trees.
Sneak an educational lesson into a day at the beach. Buy your kids a beach ball printed with the globe, and let them discover geography as they play.
Turn a runaway beach ball into an advertising opportunity by printing it with your company logo. Logo-printed beach balls can make great gifts for a corporate retreat or office party.
Select a non-PVC beach ball if you've decided to go sporty with the thicker rubber models. These can often be sold sans label, so be very careful about where you pick them up. Don't be afraid to ask the vendor to verify that your beach ball is carcinogen-free.
Change things up with an oversized beach ball, which can be as large as 4 or 5 feet in diameter!
Choose a beach ball designed to look like a volleyball, baseball, basketball or soccer ball to add an authentic air to your beach games. Sports-themed beach balls are also a natural choice when you're looking for an inflatable ball to pass through the crowd at a sporting event.
Choose a clear plastic beach ball for a sleek, minimal look. If you're having a pool party, buy a bunch of them and scatter them around the surface of the pool for fun and easy decor.
