Select the Best Schwinn Bicycle for You or Your Child
Measure your child's inseam if the bike is for her, and use this chart at iBike.org to gauge the size you need while you do your research.
Head to the Schwinn Web site for detailed information on each model they currently offer. If you're looking for their great "retro" models, see the Cruisers category.
Select a few model lines that are related to each other. Since Schwinn offers such a broad range of bikes, you don't want to rule out any similar ones before seeing them up close and test-riding them.
Look up your smallest local authorized dealer. As mentioned below, you will want to find a retailer that specializes in bikes only, rather than a broad range of sports. Not only will you get better service at a bike shop, but you will also find a better selection from which to choose.
Bring your child with you to the store, if the bicycle is for him.
Give the salesperson all the relevant size information about you or your child and tell them what sort of riding you or your child expect to do.
Select the bike that feels the most comfortable both for your body and your wallet.
