How to Pop a Wheelie on a Huffy Green Machine

The Green Machine is a tricycle designed by Huffy. The Green Machine features a 20-inch high-traction pneumatic front tire, dual-joystick controls with a front handbrake and an adjustable seat for children 6 years of age and older. The Huffy Green Machine is available to purchase in a green-and-black model, or in a slightly smaller aqua blue Green Machine H2O model, featuring a 16-inch front wheel and a hand-operated water squirting system.

Instructions

    • 1

Pedal the Green Machine at a speed you are comfortable with. You should be able to make sharp turns and other quick maneuvers at this speed; do not ride so fast that hand braking becomes ineffective.

    • 2

Grasp both of the control joysticks with a tight grip. Pull the joysticks up while bending your knees to bring them closer to you. Allow your body to lean back as the front tire is lifted from the ground.

    • 3

Pedal the Green Machine while leaning back with the front wheel lifted to keep riding the wheelie. You will need to pedal faster than usual, as only the back wheels are making contact with the ground.

    • 4

Straighten out the joysticks to align the front wheel while it is still in the air. This will keep you from losing balance immediately after landing the wheelie. Lean forward slowly to land the wheelie.
