How to Glue a Synthetic Wig to a Polymer Clay Fairy Head

To add a touch of authenticity to your polymer clay fairy, consider using a synthetic wig rather than making the hair from clay. Synthetic wigs can be styled and make your fairies look more realistic. Once the clay has been baked, you can choose from a large selection of synthetic wigs you can find at craft stores and online.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Gather the hair from the synthetic wig and tie it up with the elastic band. You must take care not to glue any of the hair to the fairy's skull. You can style the hair once it has been attached.

    • 2

Use the paint brush to cover the top of the clay fairy's head with rubber cement glue. Do so carefully so as not to go over the hairline.

    • 3

Position the wig on the doll's head. Make sure it is perfectly straight. Press it down gently. Take the tip of the paintbrush and paint rubber cement glue around the edges. Use as little glue as possible.

    • 4

Untie the elastic band and style the hair.
