How to Make a LEGO Custom Scout Trooper

The LEGO company was founded in Denmark in 1932. Today, they have grown to become the world's fourth largest producer of children's toys with operations in more than 130 countries. LEGO first began to produce Star Wars themed products in 1999. In the Star Wars universe, Scout Troopers were a class of lightly-armed Stormtrooper used for scouting purposes. Before the rise of the Empire, Scout Troopers wore green camouflage armor, but during the Imperial period, they wore the standard Stormtrooper white. Therefore, you can make your Scout Trooper with either white or green armor.

Instructions

    • 1

Get the parts you'll need for your scout trooper. LEGO makes both the green Clone Wars era scout trooper, and the white imperial scout trooper. The green scout trooper can be found in the 7261 Clone Turbo Tank kit, while the white scout trooper comes in a number of different kits, including 7139 Ewok Attack and 8038 The Battle of Endor. You can also buy the parts individually from an online store such as FireStarToys. You can customize your Scout Trooper as you see fit.

    • 2

Attach the legs of the LEGO figurine to the torso. These will insert into the bottom slots of the torso.

    • 3

Attach the head onto the small knob or "neck" of the torso. Green and white scout troopers should wear appropriate helmets.

    • 4

Arm your scout trooper with a gun or other weapons, if you want to.

    • 5

Customize your scout trooper as you see fit. You can purchase and use lego decals on your trooper, or even use common household tools such as white-out and sharpie pens to mark your trooper. Since all lego figurine pieces are interchangeable, you can use an alternate torso, legs or helmet to the ones included in the official product, too.
