How to Make Transformer Masks

Transformers is a hot character trend for young boys spanning the realms of cartoons, toys and even birthday themes. To create an inexpensive crafting activity for kids, allow them to make their own Transformer masks at a party or play date. Print Transformer faces onto card stock, and allow kids and party goers to cut out their own masks and tie on elastic. The simple craft project even doubles as a take-away for later play dates.

Instructions

    • 1

Find a Transformer face image online and save to your computer desktop. Open the image in a Word document and stretch the face image to mask size, if it isn't already large enough.

    • 2

Print the new Transformer mask image onto the card stock paper.

    • 3

Using scissors, cut along the outline of the mask. Close the scissors and poke one hole in the center of each eye space. Use the scissors to cut through the hole and emptying out the eye space.

    • 4

Using the hole punch, punch one hole on each side of the mask. Holes should be close to the edge of the mask front, near the ear area of the head.

    • 5

Measure the needed length of elastic by wrapping the strand around the head. Using the scissors, cut the necessary length.

    • 6

String the elastic through each punched hole. Tie each side in a double knot.
