Hurricane Helpers
Build a play town out of sticks, mud and leaves outdoors. Use the sticks and the mud to build makeshift houses. Pour water over the top of the town with a watering can to simulate a town being flooded or experiencing a tsunami. Use the soldiers to save the town by having them fill sand bags and make walls. Search for lost soldiers in the wreckage by hiding them inside the stick and mud houses before pouring the water.
Earthquake Evadors
Create an earthquake scene using cushions, pillows or books as walls of buildings that have fallen. Design a maze through the streets for the soldiers to go through to bring food and water to people left homeless. Use paper towel tubes as slides or shuts for the soldiers to slide down. Use other toys in your obstacle courses like toy cars, boats or motorcycles to assist in the rescue. Hide other dolls or soldiers in the rubble for a search and rescue scenario.
Parachuters
Use a plastic shopping bag and tie the tops of handles together with a small piece of string. Tie the plastic toy soldier to the plastic bag near the spot where you tied the handles together. Drop your toy soldier from the top of the stairs if indoors. Throw the soldier up in the air if you are outside. The plastic bag should catch the air when falling down and form a parachute for the soldier to coast down to the scene of an isolated disaster.
Flood Friends
Take your toy soldiers outside and play in the mud. Build houses alongside a mud river. Use other plastic dolls to be trapped by the high waters for the soldiers to rescue. Use plastic toy animals to rescue from a zoo being threatened by a flood. Use a watering can filled with water to simulate rain water making the flood waters rise. Create your outdoor flood scenes inside of a large flat plastic container to make clean up a cinch.
