Who Manages the Backyardigans Toys?

"The Backyardigans" is an animated television show on Nickelodeon's Nick Jr. network, a channel for toddlers and preschool-aged children. A number of different companies manufacture toys featuring characters from the show, but Nickelodeon is responsible for licensing the products.
  1. Ty Incorporated

    • Ty Incorporated, maker of Beanie Babies and other stuffed animals, is a licensed manufacturer of "The Backyardigans" plush character line. Each character measures 8 inches in height, and the plush toys are offered for purchase separately or as a five-pack.

    Fisher-Price

    • Fisher-Price manufactures and distributes a number of licensed "The Backyardigans" toys, including instruments such as the Sing 'n' Strum Guitar and the Sing-Along Music Maker. Fisher-Price also makes a line of plush, singing animals for each of the cartoon's characters.

    Other Manufacturers

    • In addition to toys, children enjoy playing electronic and video games featuring the "The Backyardigans" characters. Leap Frog makes "Backyardigans" books and games for its Leapster and Tag educational game systems, and Nintendo released a "Backyardigans" game for the Nintendo DS in 2009.
