Optimus Prime
Optimus Prime is the commander of the Autobots. His transformation is to a firetruck, flying machine or -- along with his trailer -- a large robot. Optimus also has the capability to join with other Autobots and form larger robots or weapons. He has a soft heart for humans and wants to protect his kind as well as those of Earth.
Jetfire
Jetfire is next in line in the leadership hierarchy below Optimus and is in charge when Optimus takes other missions. He is an old Decepticon that switched to the Autobots' side. Jetfire is loyal and follows orders. He transforms into a large plane with cannon fire.
Mudflap
Mudflap is one of a pair of twins and was pulled away from the good side to join the Decepticons when he became impatient with the humans. He thought he could save the galaxy without having to deal with those on Earth or the constant rules. He comes back after a time because he sees the Decepticons are the types of cybertrons he should associate with. The autobots allow him to come back. Mudflap converts to a crane. The crane itself can convert to a saw.
Hot Shot
Hot Shot loves to go fast and transformed into a sports car, but later on is converted to turn into an armored vehicle with missile capability. His conversion is a result of damage he received in a battle with Megatron. He eventually takes over command of Velocitron, which is also known as the Speed planet.
Megatron
Megatron is the leader, and most powerful, Decepticon. He wants to control the Cybertron planet as well as the universe. Megatron gets an upgrade after his Unicron armor pulls from the Cyber planet key and he converts to Galvatron. Megatron originally transformed to a race car and a jet with electrical shooting capability. After changing to Galvatron, he could also turn into a sword, produced a cannon at his midsection and was given restoration ability.
